busy with coding
![]() AsI said in the beta tester board the idea of calling the attendant to get coffee or such is a good one... what miss everyone anyway it that there is somes event that seem to come to rarely (I wonder if one guy did have them) as "hello captain the passengers feel cold" and others... in this maner tthe call attendant would be only possible for the three "food/drinck" call while there is event 9 call... Anyway this would not require too much coding... so I think I'll do it....it's pure candy of course but it's cool to call the attendant anyway ... Adding a full "4" ring feature could take one month coding so I'll not do it, what we can do is to change a bit the "mayday sound" so just after the mayday call you hear 4 rings and the call to flight attendant.... then you hear the flight attendant calling the mayday to passengers.... I have my hown idea to minimize the coding problem while still gettting a bit of brad's feature We'll discuss this on the beta board in the meaning time. Dan

Wow Dan,
Just the fact that you are even willing to entertain the idea speaks volumes about you and your dedication to your product. Even if it doesn't get done, at least you listen and care... Thanks Dan, Sincerely, -Paul

I second that Paul, what a great guy Dan is.....i rarely see this kinda communication and or responsiveness with other authors, i admire
the humility from someone who in my opinion has created The Best Add-on for FS9. I love all of the above suggestions, especially that of a Turbulence call. I hope to see it as an update soon and maybe coupled with a few more voice packs that cover maybe the Caribbean region? Best to you All

Sounds good. I was just sharing my idea, and seeing if any interest would be generated in it. Pagir, calling a "virtual FA" to get a "virtual
coffee" is basic ear candy principle. Right now, she barges in unannounced with coffee, so how hard would it be to press a button to play the FA's wav files? It should work without a hitch. Then, you wouldn't have a FA popping in every so often to scare the hell out of you. True, it is ear candy, but have you heard of FS2Crew? Alot of it's features are based on ear candy (it has a rudementary crew call system), and it's one of the hottest add ons around.

While I know the the Check vessel state/ Before take-off state display from Delta Glider III would not be something that FSP would have, I
would like to see the GRD CALL button and you "check aircraft status" the ground crew could say "Uhh, Captain your door is open"

That would be neat. Hopefully, we'll see some implementation of this feature.

Dan,
Just wondering if this feature has seen any progress. I've read quite a few different messages in support of similiar implementations of what I recommended above, and think it would add quite a bit to the ambiance factor of FS9. I'd be happy to offer my full support in the design of this feature, and explain real-world equivalents, appropriate responses, etc. Thanks!

Great feature and since Im at work I cant read through all posts on the thread but if we are to request a drink/snack there should be a
penalty if we dont and the pilot becomes fatigued and forgets to eat. Flight crew will be hungry in less than one hour Flight crew is hungry and not as attentive -23

I hate 2D Panels - VC is the ONLY way to fly! Air Spruce and Keezaire - Rank: Both C23 ![]() FsP ANSWERS: http://www.fspassengers.com/?action=faq

Yeah, I like that idea! If the FA doesn't bring me my coffee, I get AWFUL irritable! Actually, because of my recent promotion, if the FA
doesn't bring me what I request, I've got a first officer to order around! ![]()

Yes, and you don't have to worry about the Captain not wanting to give you the stick on landing... FO's are going to hate you you know

I know... lol. Now I get to choose what stages of flight I control! I can't wait! My first flight as CPT will be Monday. KABQ-KBWI! They set
me up with a nice long one (at least by SWA standards), and I'm looking forward to it.

To add to the package of FA.
I know that pilots dont really hear the fa unless they have the cabin speaker tuned, so In my case i turned the volume down for the ambience. But what I find unreal is some short unnouncements, that in my opinion dont sound professional. Some short ones like "We are now going to takeoff." Logically speaking that would mean that on LDS767 for instance, FA has disobayed my order to take her seat, got up and walked over to the mic, to tell an obvios short unprofessional announcement. Also FAs do not announce Rejected take-offs. Not on 767s thats for sure- that again means she got up while the airplane was breaking and made the announcement. I know this is still just a game in its own way, but we aim for realism, and we should take from fs2crew for example. If SWAFO can help us out on the announcement part that FAs make that would be greatly appreciated. I obviosly dont fly real jets so I fully know that i might be wrong and Im sorry, but from the CRM manuals that I have read, some of the things that FSpassengers adds with FAs are rather unreal Other than that- the best addition to the game ever, even default are a lot of fun to fly nowadays! Thanks, Dan! |
