Hey All,
It has been a long time since my last post, I have been away from FSP for a bit but have come back to it for a bit. Anyway, just thinking of
something today.....
An interesting addition to FSP would be to enhance the "airline" simulation aspect (though I know this is not really what it is all about) by adding
"landing rights". I mention this because effectively you do all (most) of the airline management within FSP selecting where to go and getting a very
detailed summary of income and expenses, so why not just add a bit more.
Basically I was thinking of making this an option of "realism" or whatever which can be turned on or off. In the real world major airlines and
regionals (pretty sure) have to bid or purchase the rights to operate to an airport. (This might only be relevant for a major international airline)
This is not the landing fees which are separate but rather the ability to sell tickets to a specific airport. Anyway, if it was added to FSP, then
when you select a flight you would have to operate to and from an airport which you have the rights to.... initially you would have fewer options I
guess is what I am getting at and hence would need to build your route structure. These would have to encure an annual fee which would make holding
too many of them a hindrance to the bottom line.
Anyway, just an idea, not sure if the "masses" would like it but............. suggestions or comments?
Regards
