My wife wants to know!

HI Everyone, this is a bit off topic but my wife wants to know what the hostess is doing in the cockpit? Hostess opens the door and
comes in to serve a drink but she never leaves, (the door doesn't open again) what is she doing.......

Search under more downloads under sounds. It was one of the early downloads, #268 I think, where the hostess brings coffee and then
leaves the cockpit. Download the file and replace the one you have.

who cares what the lady says.. You as Pilot are in command. So everybody will have to listen to you and no vice versa..

What do you think that flight attendant is doing? washing the cockpit windows or smoking a cigar?

Just to add a little reality to this situation......

I am a flight attendant in real life, and when I am passing coffee to the pilots, I don't really "enter" the cockpit. I just open the door, hand it
to them, and shut it. I work on the a320 which has a big cockpit, and it's not even that big that I have to enter and make a left down the hall
way to get to the captain's seat. I know this is just for arguments sake, but you can tell your wife that the flight attendant was just standing
at the door of the cockpit and that's why she never had to leave again

Funny, that's the picture I always had. She opens the door, hands me the coffee and then goes away. I then promptly spill it all over the
FMC and we die shortly there after. Oops.

.....and you would be classified as a typical clumsy pilot.....hehe. But, no lie, that is why we literally receive the instructions in training
of........although the pilot may reach his hand out to take his beverage, DO NOT hand it to him over the center console. Reach around and
place the cup in the cup holder. So yes, they do incorporate this in our flight attendant training so we flight attendants keep the pilots from
killing us all....lol

So next time you board a commercial aircraft, be nice to your flight attendants. They are probably saving your life!!
