I don't know about the rest of you, but several days ago I purchased Voice Buddy and am enjoying the heck out of it. Since I mostly fly the
Captain Sim B727, I have my hands full during the takeoffs and landings of this particular airplane. Voice Buddy has taken ALOT of the
workload away just by being able to make voice commands...retract flaps, gear up, trim up, autopilot master switch on, etc. It is definitely
working as advertised. I could go through the hundreds of commands Voice Buddy will perform, but I will spare all of you the details. I am
interested in knowing how many of you hard core simmers have VB and if you are getting as much enjoyment out of the product as I am.
For anyone thinking about buying VB 3.0, VB suggests that anyone who buys the product also purchase the AudioFX headset with it.
Purchase it if you don't have a decent headset, but if you already have a good headset, don't even think about buying it. I have a Logitech
headset and it works great with VB.
One other thing...the set up is quite easy...as advertised. However, be prepared to sit at the computer for an hour or so going through the
tutorial and voice recognition exercises. Of course this is optional, but if you want to make sure your commands aren't being
misinterpreted by VB, I would highly recommend you go through the exercises. The more you do of them, the more accurate the system
will be.
Disclaimer: This is not an advertisement....I just like the freak'n product!
