fs genesis or my world ?

hey guys i have both but uninstalled them because im also using ultimate terrain and fs scene so im wondering, can i still use one of the
mesh software or its not necessary? and if so wish one do you guys consider?

FSScene is textural enhancements. Nothing to do with mesh
Ultimate Terrain is the same way but with textures, also comes with making the geographical shorelines correct, or close to it.

FSGenesis is a terrain mesh that makes corrected mountains where there are hills, valleys where there are none, and enhances the
terrain elevations as they should be. FSG is the one I use as Im not familiar with My World

Drew I know of several that use it and love it. Only drawback is it is one helluva hefty DL with all those files that need downloading for
many on dial up. Granted FSGenesis is similar in that you get links to downloads that are 100 to almost 1 gig in size lol

and as for the fsglobal? would that cause conflict with fs genesis? of course if you do know..

drew the srtm terrains are good ive used them before. The only reason i stopped was because i started using more payware and just
didnt want any conflicts and also sometimes fs9 will crash in certain arial locations and sometimes i wouldnt be able to track what
scenery add on it was.. and that could be frustration

Well, they both do the same, so it would be a bit double to use both. Both are good imo but i just seem to like fs genesis better somehow. Just
personal preference.

MyWorld is different again, it's both mesh as landclass . I'm not sure if myworld is still being supported and further developed. Maybe it is but
didn't see or hear much about it anymore.
For me, i fly with a combi of fsgenesis and fscene (maybe will replace that by birdseyeview but i need to see how that product develops) and use FE
for water textures.
I think you should study their websites closely and decide for yourself what you like the best
And yes, Ultimate Terrain is wonderful but only for the USA (yet). But if you fly mainly there it's something you sure should add to your wishlist

Hey Dutch,

I have FSScene and have had it for about a year and a half. I have both volumes of BEV now and the difference is amazing. I think BEV is
MUCH more realistic. Not putting down FSScene at all as Ruud's work filled the bill for so long and was very enjoyable, but BEV is tops to
me now. Only difference is BEV right now is only two seasons of 5 for North America. Eventually BEV will replace all my FScene textures.

well i have all of the above dutch. As for Birdseyeview like it for summer. mmmmm winter i dont know about that. like you said they may
need a little more development. But maybe ill try fsgenesis again and uninstall fsglobal and see which one is the best

Savas, I agree with you, bev looks amazing for sure but I don't understand why they release the seasons when those seasons are almost over And they
had some "minor internal issues" which made me decide to wait for a little while and see if they really release europe srping at early spring. If they
do, i will buy. But i won't buy when they will release spring at the start of summer
They should not have released fall i think but straight to winter, I believe far more ppl would have bought it then.

I would gather its because there are a LOT of textures they have created, plus the internal strife that happened with the new development
of BEV, which doesnt sway me away at all. The way I see it, I have the FScene textures for all seasons, and as BEV releases teirs I will
get the BEV textures to replace the FScene textures Ive had so long.

I really love the Configurator II they have developed and the textures are top notch. And next year since I fly real time, I will see all the nw
textures

Though I have changed the dates to see how they looked and

Yes, but well, i almost always fly real time, real seasons etc So maybe by the time that fall is coming, i will buy their products because again,
i agree, it looks very good.
So this configurator is nice to use? A colleague of mine bought it and he said it's nice but sometimes a bit overwhelming as it seems to have
"millions" of possibilties? So, you use the configurator for instance when you fly to a different area or so?

There are thousands of configurations you can make with the configurator, however with a little attention to what you are doing you wont
have many of the same repetitive textures for cities for one. You can make them all look the same or slightly different. I like being able to
choose from several textures when I am trying to decide what I think would look best.

And as for the late releases, keep in mind too it might be winter in the northern US, but its still nice and colorful in the more southern
regions

Dutch64 youre sooo right i have a problem with the seasons are all mixed up. for eg. i have fscopilot with time sync so when i use auto
time update i dont see the fall tex for bev but if i turn off time sync and fly before nov 21st then it shows fall textures kind a dump like youve
said to release it soo late when the season is over. and one of the hardest think to do is to break the seasonal textures in fs9
