Ok, maybe just walk.......at the moment you can't even buy it if you wanted too......too much traffic on the website....imagine that. LOL

Thankfully (??) I don't have any pilots qualified yet

I just spent the past hour reading through the 747 manual.....and still cannot get through. Looks like AVSIM has shut down as a
result....as someone else said in another forum...when's the last time you've seen that happen? This is one hot potato. Unfortunately, there are things modelled in there that make me wonder if it will operate properly with FsP. I saw in a previous post that there was going to be some dialog between Dan and PMDG regarding compatibility....anyone know if that got worked out? Specifically, in the manual it states that no modification to the aircraft.cfg file can be made from a 3rd party program (FsP) and that would include fuel loading, pax/cargo loading, etc. Plus, it models something like 144 different failures....even so I will be more than happy to turn them off and use FsP's failures. I have one company I use for VA with qualififed pilots so hopefully I'll be able to afford this beast....and keep up with maint costs!!!! LOL

i got it down today but there are problems with it ,the displays goes out in a few moments and the engine is stopped it is a pmdg mistake
i talk to other people today that have the same problem,so wait buying it until there is a patch.has anybody here discovered that problem that i talking about ![]()

What exactly are the problems going on with it? Since their forum is down you probably can't even get tech support for it. Sorry you had to
be the guinea pig....I was trying to buy it but apparently they have shut down their shopping cart before I could make the purchase....which in hindsight is a good thing...especially for the price of $50 US dollars if the plane is full of bugs. ![]() Chuck

So, perhaps this post should be renamed DON'T WALK, RUN AWAY FROM PMDG WEBSITE. LOL!!!!

For those interested.....PMDG is saying to check back after 0030Z 03Aug05 to download ANY items from their website to include 747.
They're bringing the server down to reconfigure....they apparently underestimated, again, the level of interest. As for AVSIM, still have no idea what their issue is. Thx Chuck

That's great news to hear!!! You said the same thing about FsP on my VA's forum and I believed you. Turns out FsP is just as you advertised!!! So if you say the same thing about the Queen....man oh man...I cannot wait for their shopping cart to reopen. Kinda like that old commercial "Open, open, open" LOL Thanks much Chuck

I can wait, obviously some ppl are having grief with it. And since I don't have a pilot qualified I guess I'll just sit it out right now.

Right...I'm in the same boat....gotta build up points, hours and money. But, I do have another company created that I use for my VA that
would allow me to fly it. I'll have to convince the CEO about purchasing one!!! I should look at the thread about plane costs and see just how much it'll set me back!!

Yep, looks like $280 Million Dollars if you want to add the Queen to your Active Company.....ouch...that'll dang near bankrupt me....this is
going to be very interesting.

Yeah, quite understandable...they've probably got people working round the clock. Bet you know just how that feels!!!
Well, I'm more than happy to let things come as they may because I've got several other beautiful a/c begging to be flown and a great FsP program!!! |
