-Electrical system had a short circuit and it failed
interminently during flight. It would have been better to
shutdown master, short circuits are dangerous and can cause a fire.

I have not seen this particular message before but I don't fly any default aircraft. Usually when I see there is an electrical problem, I usually shut
off the Nav light....that usually takes care of the electrical problem. I don't think you need to shut off the battery...try nav light first.

Hello Joeflyer, indeed I tried to shut off nav lights first but not to find in the 737 800 default, seems to be the same as the logo lights, but that
didn't work.
Never mind, I made a very nice landing wihthout instruments
Plz let me know what you think is the best (free) 737 800 ?

It would have been better to shutdown master.

Just had the same failure tried batterry and nav lights or whatever, not working.
Also not possible to set, in this situation, the squawk at 7700 to avoid FSPx penalties.

Because you have to shut down first the Avionics master switch !

And where is that switch in the 737 800 default? nowhere, doesn't exist

Solution ?: go to options/settings/controls/ Buttons Keys tab and
assign a key to "Avionics master (on/off)" I set it to 5 and it seems to work in a test session (on ground)

Now waiting for the same failure in flight.

Just same flight with Boeing 747-400 Paint1 and same failure:

-Nav light electric system had short circuited and caused a problem with the entire avionics system.
The pilot identified the problem correctly and shutdown the Nav light which was the proper procedure.
