strong gust of wind?

Here's a weird one. After shutdown with the parking brakes set and door open, I was doing an external view of the aircraft when all of a sudden the
plane hopped and started rocking fore and aft. The co-pilot got on and complained that the door was open and we needed to land right away. But I was
already landed and the door was open with people leaving already. It dinged me for having the door open during the flight and passengers not liking
excessive g's during flight. I was flying the DHC-8 from UVA and parked at G1 at KGJT. Any ideas about what caused it and how to prevent it in the
future would be appreciated. Thanks

This problem happens with some aircraft, best thing is to not change views, or mostly stay away from the external view while on the ground until you
end your flight.

That "bunny" like hopping of aircraft is usually some wrong contact points and CG configuration.

Center your joystick and look at the parked aircraft in spot view close up. Then toggle the slew mode on and off. If the plane moves up/down when
entering/leaving slew mode, you know for certain that that's the problem and we can work from there.
