Sudden FSX crashes

Hi everyone. Within the past week or so, I've experienced a few simulator crashes out of the blue. My sim is usually pretty stable (albeit on low settings) so it kind of throws me for a loop whenever it does crash. I was using two separate aircraft during each flight, but both were made by Project Airbus and repainted by different people. Project Airbus planes usually give me a bit of a hard time with memory when first loading them up for a flight, but then everything usually works out and I can go on my merry way. The first crash was during climb maybe around 10-12 thousand feet. The second was on the ground. I had FSPax loaded up both times. I was also using the Locked Spot external view at the time of both crashes.

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary to me, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I forgot to add: then FSX won't open because it has detected a problem with fspassengersx.dll. I usually use regedit to delete everything containing "FSPassengers" and then that problem is solved.

First, have you attempted to uninstall FSP, reboot pc and then re-install FsP? Sometimes this will do the trick. You shouldn't be having the 0xc0000005 error with the latest installer, but perhaps there is more to this than just the FsP side of the equation. The memory access violation code could be a result of FSX being in the Program Files (X86) directory. Sometimes this is the issue.

I have not attempted that, but I recall that not working when I had this issue previously. It may be worth another shot. Another thing I came up with is a Windows update. There was a security update installed the day between my last successful flight and the day I started having issues. I'm looking into the possibility of uninstalling that update.
