I'm sorry, I was auto writing (not really thinking). I really meant the Threshold Markings.

well. maybe I should've specified that after I installed the patch for leveld 767 things got worse. Before the patch it was pretty good.

If that landing was done at the now closed Meigs field something is very wrong since meigs field could never handle the wight of a 747...when they
brought the old 727 for the museam of Science and instrery they had to totally strip it to get it in.

Yeah, I don't think little Meigs can handle near a million pounds on it's runway. On a lighter note; I personally like that MS kept Meigs in
FS9 (however not as the default airport). I've got a lot of flightsim history there, and even though it's a grass strip now (I flew over it a few weeks ago during a real flight, and a tear came to my eye), it's great that I can fly in and out of it still!

There's still a campaign to try and re-open it isn't there? Same as a campaign here to try and get a Concorde back to airworthiness for
airshows etc. ![]() Flying for Landmark Airlines.

eheheh, thanx pegase! I think the carrier would probably sink as soon as the 747 touches down!
![]() There is a very slight chance it could be done in FS9 by using the full length of the carrier (not just the section dedicated to landings). However I remember I tried that with a cessna 182 an it was barely able to stop, so I don't think the 747 would make it. Unless they fit some arrestors specifically for it!!! Wow! A 727 landed there for real??? Where is the video??? I hope they will keep Meigs in FS2006 as well. I see no reason to erase it from the virtual world. It's bad enough they closed such a milestone in aviation in the real world!

Yep, there's campaigns for lots of things in the aviation world. Here at SWA we have one going too. Basically, there's a little law known
as the Wright Amendment that limits travel out of Dallas Love airport to the states surrounding Texas. This was done quite some time ago to increase growth at the then new DFW airport. Now, we're trying to get this law repealed. Here's the website for the petition: http://www.setlovefree.com

 Guess I was wrong!!!
