[Solved!]AP disengages itself--&gtcrash

Hello all,

I recently purchaced FsP. I'm flying PMDG 737-800 & 747-400. Whitout FsP everything runs smoothly.

With an FsP flight however, upon final aproach when lined up for touch down at app. 300ft, the autopilot disengages itself and I get al
kinds of config warnings. The line up for the runway changes a little to the left (while the aircraft maintains a straight line) and the aircraft
goes in TO/GA mode by itself.

When I attempt to correct and perform a go-around, the aircraft crashes at the end of the runway.
As said before, this only happens when I make use of FsP. I tried all kinds of settings allready but it keeps doing it.

Any of you knows how to solve this?

Your first post...congrats! I think I saw another post similar to this not long ago. I had no answer for it because I've never had that problem
while using FsP with PMDG 747 or any other add-on aircraft. Do a search with "autopilot disengages" or something like that. See what
you find. Also, have you inquired the PMDG support forum about the issue?

Thnxs for your welcome. I spent an entire day on google finding somthing about this. Although related no specific info on my problem
found.

Also no reply's yet at the PMDG (AVSIM) support forum

maybe some assignments in fs are the same as in the fsp menu ? not the right course selected , programmed something wrong in the
FMC ? maybe too high from the glide slope (I had it a few times and then he activates the LOC\VOR button and you go automatic to
TO/GA) do you turn off the auto throttle ?

Problem with 737-800 solved. Indeed an FMC problem. Thnxs for the hint I manualy reduced the given speed in the FMC to 180
knots upon final aproach. Now with the 737-800 and FsP on, (near) prefect landings.

With the 747-400 no such luck. Still disengages the AP and go to TO/GA mode by itself when FsP is used.

Finaly figured out how to solve the problem. (thnxs to a tip from a Dutch FS site)

The GPWS in FsP had to be changed manualy. By typing "f050" the GPWS level is set to 50ft.
Both PMDG 737-400 and 747-400 are now performing as should with the use of FsP.

As of now also for me some near perfect landings with satisfied PAX.

Although I never had these problems, maybe because I don't have any PMDG add ons, I have seen this sort of PMDG related "interferences" several times
now.

Could you please explain the problem and its solution in a way that would make a perfect FAQ item?
