My plane sunk down on the right side when landing on RW 08R at EDDT (Berlin Tegel). This was of course by FsP determined as an
accident. The whole approach and landing was just normal, so what caused the odd behavior of the aircraft. There were no emergency
warnings given from my co-pilot.
I have now tried out landing at the same runway with FsP disabled, about 20 times and without any problems. I have tried 5 times with
FsP and the same thing happens all the time.
I have the addon scenery for EDDT by Aerosoft (German Airports 3 – GAP3 ). It was an elevation problem with the AFCAD-file with this
scenery, but this is already fixed with a patch from Aerosoft. Firstly I was pretty sure the mal-function was caused by FsP, but just to be
quite sure I have checked out this particular airport in case the bug is related to GAP3. I have tried different airplanes, all runways and as
mentioned above I have landed about 20 times on this specific runway. It’s no problem at all (except a minor bump on the first part of the
08R).
With FsP running (my particular flight plan was ENTO-EDDT), the plane sinks down on the right side and FsP reports every time that the
accident is caused by a pilot failure. (Hence I get penalized by several minus points and that goes for my company as well).
Today I tried a new variant, by making an FsP-flight as a sight-seeing with departure and arrival at EDDT. (15 min. flight). Experiencing no
problems, I decided to give the ENTO-EDDT one more shot.
This is what happened and this is obviously pointing out what may happen to FsP due to a bug or what ever you prefer to call it:
But first, just to inform about my “flightsim-program –configuration”; I am using Radar Contact ver4.01, FS Real Time ver 1.79.3, and
Active Sky-ASv6 as well.
On final to EDDT, lowering the landing gear, my co-pilot tells we have a problem as one of the main wheels won’t fully extend. (The
problem was related to the left main wheel). I declared an emergency, and followed the procedure according to the rules). I made
two “sort-of -touch-and-goes”, bumping a little hard each time to see if I could loosen the left wheel, and I did succeed as my FsP-co-pilot
told me so. So after the third go-around I finally made the last approach, just normal and with the smoothest landing I ever made.
BUT, a second later the plane sunk down on the LEFT side and I was back to the same situation as mentioned initially- an accident with
screaming passengers. It was then impossible to end the FsP without quitting it totally.
So what obviously is happening is that the failure/emergency part of the FsP is mal-functioning, causing failures to the aircraft without pre-
warnings. And as to the last case still hanging up with the failure even if the FsP-co-pilot tells everything is back in order.
Maybe this is only related to the gear-got-stuck-failure. I don’t know.
I only ask you to please solve this problem – as it will be very, very time consuming to keep on flying more than 20 hours just to get
credited for 1,5 hour !
