Wide Screen Resoulution and FsPassengers?

Hi,
After trying a widescreen res (1920*1200) and loading a Fspassenger flight, i noticed that when the little display box in the corner
turns the rest of the screen black below the blue box (sometimes just a still image of the cockpit that doesn't move)? so if it is up the top
corner basically the whole screen is black bellow it?
The problem is solved by either not having the blue box or having it at the bottom of the screen, which still has a small black section on
the bottom of the screen about the same height as the brakes/park break message.
Is there anyone else who has tried using FsPassengers with a widescreen resolution that can confirm this issue?
Without running a Fspassengers flight there is no issues.

Nate Dogg! I got the answer.

I use 1920x1200 resolution, and I got the same issue. I discovered it was caused by having anti-aliasing and ansotropic filtering
manually turned on in Windows via the advanced control tab in properties (I use GeForce 6800GT with the NVIDIA control panel).

Try setting your AA and AS to APPLICATION CONTROLLED and I think you'll see an improvement.

Maybe I'm wrong but in that case you let fs04 handle AA and it will slow down performance dramatically
In my opinion i would be best to leave AA and AS controlled directly by your videocard.
What videocard do you use Nate dogg?

When I tried doing that, I got the exact issue he describes.

this issue is know it happen only with some buggy drivers and AA enabled...
people were always able to solve it while trying another driver.

two solution : you glue the report at the left bottom of the screen or you try to find a better driver.

I have tried different drivers with my 6800GT with no change however having no aa and af solves the problem.
i really don't want to keep trying different drivers just to fix this little problem, i think ill just leave aa and af off for the time being.

I have the 6600GT with the latest drivers. I did have this issue also some months ago and so i don't exactly remember anymore how i solved it those
days. If you like i can post here some settings i use? I also know having the latest via hyperion drivers and your bios settings setup correctly is
important, like your apperture size etc. It's not really a FsP issue because those days i had the same problem with the active radar window which
comes with activesky
If for you flying without AA is no problem, ok, fine of course, but i like some more eye candy like smooth sceneries

I had the same problem up to yesterday with my 6600. I bought the card on Aug 27 and the thing didn't work with Fs2004. If you turn the
AA off on the card and on in Fs2004, that will solve your problem.

In my case, at the time I purchase the card, I also changed the power supply. The hick was that my motherboard was 24pin and the
default wire for the power supply was 20 pins. That also contributed to the problem.

Since I replaced both the cards and the wire yesterday, I can use the AA on the card but I have to limit it to 2Xq. Anything above that and I
get major flickering. At 8xS, I still get the black box below any other window thats open.

I'm using driver 78.01.

If you're using a tft screen, make sure your hardware resolution is max of what the screen can handle. If you're using different size or resolution
the screen might show weird artifacts
Here are the most important settings of my setup, it runs very smoothly with it, i hope it might solve some issues for you...
The only thing i still need to mention is that my card is AGP (8x), i don't know whether you guys use AGP or PCIexpress. I don't know about PCIe but
for AGP, bios settings are extremly important too. And of course, if you card comes with a dedicated power connection, make sure you feed it
