Any way to get rid of the OVERSPEED penalties?

One of the main problems I have when running FSP is the penalties I get for overspeeding.. Unfortunately, sometimes a sudden draft of wind can send
you into OS.. Even a brief moment will get you -600 points..

Is there any way to turn that kind of thing off?

thats not a viable choice, Ive had it go from a direct downwind to a direct headwind, you'd have to slow down too much to avoid all overspeed penaltys
or buy FSUIPC.

Recently I made a flight where I was experiencing altitude jumps of several thousand feed (apparently due to artificial wind shears). Although I'm
dead set against buying most payware, I think its time to buy a registered copy of FSUIPC.

I was kidding around btw. I know about the wind drift but have not seen it since FSUIPC and ASVE

Does this give a way to totally disable crashes as well? Not just not count them..

Nothing is worse then a crappy restart during an event or someone taxiing into you on the ground..

(I'm at work right now, so I can't check it on 2k4 right now)

Doesn't work... The system still detects the crash.. We want to turn them off so even with a hard landing or collision, it iwill not reset the flight.

If you are using FS2004, I suggest you go into SETTINGS, WEATHER, and uncheck DOWNLOAD WINDS FROM ALOFT IN
REAL WEATHER.

This will stop all those nasty wind gusts from suddenly hitting your aircaft from all different directions and causing overspeeds.

However, you still have to keep an eye on your IAS guage to make sure the occasional gust doesn't put you over the line. I usually allow
at least 10 to 20 knots of space between my yellow needle and the red and white one on my 737 for just that reason.

yeah well that stops all winds from being downloaded, so whats the use of downloading real world weather.
