I'm trying to do a test in regards to frames per second. Which airport, and under which condition have you noticed it having a big slowdown?
Thanks,
Dean

I think the slowest I have noticed so far is KJFK at night. Night time is always the slowest for me, I think it's because of all the lights.

Like I posted somewhere else, using full PAI traffic in rainy and grey weather conditions, looking down at Grissom's Bostonv2 scenery
with the city of Boston in the background and the ocean below has dragged my system to it's knees. Other than that, I'd go with KJFK as well. You want to have all the factors present - Airport detail; weather; ocean detail; traffic. Again, the three biggest fps killers are AI traffic, Weather and High-Detail Scenery. Night-time does also hit the frame rates but probably not as much as the others.

Heathrow EGLL on my airport. 6fps or there abouts, with Gary Summon's UK2000 scenery installed.

EHAM Amsterdam Schiphol Airport with Cloud9 scenery installed. Someting like 8 to 14 fps.

EGLL or default SeaTac. FlyTampa SeaTac much better, though dunno how they did it.

I'd have to say KLAX on my computer, it's slightly worse than KJFK...also my TNCM scenery kills the fps.

Depends upon the AI Traffic Levels.
Minneapolis/St. Paul is a bad one for me because of the nice add-on scenery I have coupled with the TON of NWA traffic always there. ![]()

AI traffic is indeed a big fps killer. It can be minimized using only planes designed for AI with simple textures. Some weather with several
cloud layers will also slow things down. In given condition, I noticed Eathrow which, as tAirliner tells, "dragged my system to it's knees" which is a polite euphemism ![]() ![]()

On my computer with all my add-ons...3 cities - Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Anything in those areas squashes my FPS, but not so
bad that it bothers me. Even with low framerates my sim is still pretty smooth

I hate 2D Panels - VC is the ONLY way to fly! Air Spruce and Keezaire - Rank: Both C23 ![]() FsP ANSWERS: http://www.fspassengers.com/?action=faq

olseric, what scenery do you have for KMSP?

Patrick Finch's 1st version, plus the addon that I made which includes the new runway, taxiways, signs, etc.
![]() Patrick Finch and you should find 'em both. I also have scenery for ValleyFair and Flying Cloud installed (which I discovered had a landclass file that needed to be addressed). Needless to say, The Cities are busy. ![]() ![]() |
