Belly landings

Call me pedantic but I notice that when one does a belly landing in a MEJ (multi-engine jet) the engines fail making sense if they were on the wings.
But I had this emergency on a Boeing 727, surely with the engines at the back on the fuselage they wouldn't stop?

That's a bit of a stretch. These engines are designed to accept rather large chunks. Besides the 727 has low-bypass engines which
means FOD shouldn't be as big of an issue.
