FSX Demo - impressions

I thought the CRJ's sound was simply awful. I might just go ahead and replace those sounds now.

The demo is still beta (I hope) and it is missing a lot of features MS has said will be in the final product (like allowing sound to be split between
headphones and speakers so that radio sounds come through headphones)

Some bugs I've seen in the demo

1. CH Pro-pedals - toe brakes not working and settings not remembered from session to session
2. at some airports, buildings seem to be floating a few feet above ground
3. with aircraft textures set to "high" - get strange colours when dropped into cockpit - step out and back in solves it, or you get black through the
windows (with aircraft set to "ultra high") - probably missing textures from the demo.

Wouldn't it be great if we could assign elevator trim to the mouse wheel - can seem to assign anything to the wheel though.

Agreed and previously stated. The only theing that the mousewheel seems to control is the zoom in/out when using mouselook. I'll take
that, though. No more Active Camera for FSX.

The ATC seems better, love the ground traffic, all the eve candy could be a frame rate killer unless you have a very high end machine,
time to save up for a new computer.

For the limited time I have used it is seems EXACTLY the same.

Second. I see no difference at all either. The missions include more detail but, the standard atc hasn't changed a bit.

i don't know how well the demo represents the real deal here, on my machine with the settings low, I experiance alot of stuttering so it
tells me you may need a high end machime to run it with any of the eye candy.
