Enabling FSPassengers removes FS ATC prompts/sounds

Hi There,

I sometimes use FSPassengers with FS9 whist in a flight, ie, in sounds only mode.

However, after enabling the sounds only mode of FSP, I no longer get ATC pop-up windows or any sounds associated with FS9 ATC.
FSP works as expected but it totally disables FS9 ATC.

Any ideas?

Hmmm, confirmation of the problem but no solutions - the larger thread is mostly related to the graphics driver problem and not the
same issue. Other posters do mention it but there's no solution given.

I was trying to avoid a reinstall of FS9 but it looks inevitable. I'll try a fresh install of FS9 and FSP and report back in case others are
having the same problem

No confirmed solutions...

Up until now, nearly all conflicts betwen FS9 and FsP were due to faulty drivers, hijacked DLLs or hardware mismatches.

And as already mentioned (and I can also confirm this in my line of business), users very rarely provide feedback when their problem was solved.

*Bump*

Just re-installed the full shooting match, re-installed FSP, same problem with FS9 - if i enable FSP *during* a flight, from that point on
FS9 ATC window does'nt appear and no ATC sounds whatsoever.

Anyone have any ideas? Definately not a driver issue.

Seems to be a rare but stubborn problem which affects some of us. I'm very sorry but i can't help you on this one. Also because I can't reproduce the
problem.

I had the same problem. After checking many things, i solved this by doing a BIOS downgrade.

Mother Board: Asus Striker Extreme, BIOS 1102.

I know what you have to do ,

reinstall fs9 , I had it also already 3/4 times and the only thing to do is reinstalling fs. I got so tired off this problem that I made a back-up
from fs9 and installed on another hard drive
but I not sure if this has anything to do with fsp
