Total Crash

I have tried everything you mentioned above Dan, At first I had sound issues, serious crackling and unbearable squeling, this was fixed
by downloading the full Sound blaster live latest drivers again.

I now have a total lock up of PC black screen cannot use alt-tab etc, I have to shut down the pc totally.

I have checked the event viewer and nothing is logged.

I have everthing up to date inc graphics drivers

System is listed below

AMD Athlon 3200 64 939
Abit 3rd Eye motherboard
2GB ram
Windows XP pro service pack 2
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro - latest drivers
SB LIVE value 5.1


Latest VIA drivers
Latest SB drivers

FS2004 runs perfect for over 4 hours and never locks up, as soon as I load passengers in the demo and go back to the FS2004 screen
the game crashes, with no warning, somtimes it happens as soon as I leave the load pas screen othertimes I can be taxiing for 30 secs,
it always happens whithin the first 30secs of loading your app.

Any ideas?

I want to buy the program but would love to at least give it a sample first

Check to make sure your drivers took. Sometimes, when you install new drivers, the old ones do not remove and then you get conflicts.
Seems to be a big problem with ATI products anyway...

Removing old drivers is a bit of a pain unless you use some kind of 3rd party driver removal tool making sure all bits of the old ones are
removed, then installing the new drivers.

I am just going to try using my Realtek onboard sound card with version 3.79 drivers to see if that helps

Thanks for the reply, yeah I always remove all drivers when reinstalling using ATI tool

Looks like the realtek has fixed it, no crashing problems at all, I really must bin this Soundblaster Live 5.1 crap
