I just read "1776" by David McCullough. Good US history. I learned some interesting tidbits.
Really like the "Song of Ice and Fire" series if you are into Fantasy. "Uncle John's Bathroom readers" are sweet. Lots of useless facts. Something like 20+ books all with different stuff. Very entertaining. ![]() Charlie don't surf!

Go for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Bryson ; his travels (Down Under and Notes from a Small Island) and especially "A Short History of
Nearly Everything" are humorous, witty, amusing and informative. ![]() "Blessed are those who can laugh at their own mistakes, for they shall never cease to be amused "

Still do
![]() fact,2 of the routes in my region closed down this month. We already have 10 Caravans ready to be parked in a large hangar at a former Airforce base in Arkansas. More will be parked later on. This means I'll be flying with fewer contract pilots to ensure they are all flying safe.

"When do you know your wife is cheating on you?" Great book you need to buy it, it will explain quite a lot of stuff about weird manners of women.

Good books, pretty much all I read are non-fiction war books mostly Vietnam and newer but a few WWII. If anyone's into that my favorite book of all time is "Marine Sniper 93 confirmed kills" written by Charles Henderson about the Vietnam sniper Carlos Hathcock. Anyone into war or history or both or neither I highly recommend you read that book. Linky to amazon so you can see it http://www.amazon.com/Marine-Sniper-93-C...0425103552 Some others I have enjoyed are the march up (real accounts of US marines entering Iraq), Jarhead (not a whole lot better than the movie but worth it if you're bored), Blackhawk down (movie doesn't come close to the book and the movie is great), and my most recent read is Delta Force written by Col. Charlie A. Beckwith who was the founder and original C.O. of Delta Force. If I think of more I'll add to the list and if anyone knows any good ones that I missed please let me know. |
