Today a plane did a belly landing in Umeå, Sweden (ESNU) wich is my home town.
It landed at around 17.00 CET outside of the runway in the snow. The landing was very very nice, a bit rough once it hit ground I'd suspect but
nothing massive, it just calmly slid to a stop after a while.
The reason it had to do a belly landing was because the left mainwheel didn't lower. And after some discussion with the flight-leader/ATC and such,
they and the pilots agreed to make a landing. They landed in the snow outside of the runway on purpose, no one of the six passengers and two pilots
were injured.
The plane in question was a: Piper PA-31 Navajo/Chieftain flown by Örebro Aviation.

PS, this is in swedish.
