What is the advantage or why would I need a list of all passengers ?

Yeah, fun to look at. I don't know if there are any "celebrities" amongst the VIPs. You can edit the passengers database and put in anyone you want;
Mickey Mouse, your pet, your worst enemy (assuming you want to crash the plane), whatever.

I like to have the PAX list available so I can give a copy to my lawyers. That way when the PAX sue me for mental cruelty, emotional trauma
and other damages resulting from my less-than-perfect flying my lawyers are more prepared!

Not it's only for the feeling... notice that depend the country of your departure airport
your passengers will have different name (german in germany , spanish, french, asian,
russian etc etc)

Actually, it was my recommendation. As pilots, we'll always have a list of the onboard PAX available (again, who knows what purpose
this is for) lol. We won't have the detailed information that FSP provides (age, weight, etc.).
