I just discovered another 'oh so important' new feature of FSX.
You can connect a XBox360 gamepad to your pc !

WTF

A question to MS: Who on earth but 6yo or ppl normally using 'simulators' as IL-2 would fly an aircraft in outside view using a gamepad ?

Conclusion (without waiting for the answer from MS):

See what you get when marketing has a higher priority than development and/or customer satisfaction !

lar007, I love it! That would be insane.

The only reason I can see for the Xbox controller thing would be for those folks who like to use FS as an RC plane simulator. Put yourself
in Tower view and then pretend you're flying an RC C172 or something. Problem is, I would suspect that the closer to real world
dynamics of the FS aircraft would not be as forgiving as an RC model. Better disable crashes!

I suppose those ppl would use the rc-plane simulator proggy and what do you mean forgiving......controlling an rc model from the
ground - except some beginners models - is far more difficult than flying an airplane in fs9 chase view !

Been there, seen that, got the t-shirt and ripped it apart after destroying my B-25 crashing it after engine problems and misjudgement of
speeds

Picking up the remains and splinters, that's when you feel really dumb and have a numb and empty feeling

I was thinking of smaller prop jobs. You know, the ones you can basically launch by tossing them into the air? They can also landing
and come to a stop in about 2 feet - plunk!

I did see a tragic video on aviationexplorer (I think) of an RC B52 - monster of a thing, going down in flames - actually, in a nasty
crosswind. Ouch! They appear to behave realistically.
