New install on XP virtual mc

With the death of XP I've moved to Linux & run XP in a virtual machine. I've reinstalled FS Passenger for FS9 but whenever I try to enter the user & password I got from simMarket I get "wrong user or
password".

OK, so now it has worked. Half the time when I clicked the register button nothing would happen. Eventually I decided to enter it by hand without copying from the pdf of the document which didn't
seem to work either. The suddenly it did. I have no explanation!

Still, in case anyone is interested in the details I'm using an HP Pavillion 500 with Win 8 removed & Linux Mint installed. XP runs as a virtual machine under Virtual Box. It's been little trouble to set up
& sees my Logitech FF joystick. For some reason I'm missing the mini dials but I suspect that may be the FS install.
