Is there a way to get the numeric and text information out of the database, like what you see on the flight report, so that I can use it in a
spreadsheet?

Do you mean the FSP Database?
Well the answer is pretty much no, I don't think you can get the database to come out in a readable format to change points hours etc. Maybe with a spacial software, but do not have much knowledge in that area. I only know of two people who can/have successfully edited the FSP database, Dan of coarse being one, the other is a member who hasn't posted in a very long time (Covoxer). Sorry I can't give you a better answer.

Covoxer didn't post in over a year. The last I've seen was about some FspDb editing utility he was about to release, but which apparently never made it.
From what Covoxer said I guess I did pretty much the same as he. Looking at the files (its not a database, just some flat files) and trying to interpret what all those bytes mean. From the FspDb.db I do understand about 60-70% by now. I can edit almost all the pilot information, edit all the company data and the important stuff about aircraft (damage and the like). However, Dan stores the data on disk in a scrambled format for no real technical reason. And he has refused to share any information about the data format (actually, he didn't refuse explicitly, he just kept dodging the questions and seems happy that I stopped asking). I think he simply doesn't want you to read and/or write the data. Jan
