2nd lesson is tuseday at 4, well be flying around the beach where a freind of mine works as a lifeguard.

if i see her, ill rock the wings, land and ask her if she wants to go to longhorns steakhouse.

i am resurecting this old outdated thread to celabrate a momintous ocation

My first Solo was today

i got to the flight school and preflighted the aircraft. me and the instructor took off and did 3 touch and goes. with a good landing every
time. around the 2nd landing the traffic picked up. m 3ed time tower asked us to exten both upwing and downwind legs to allow other
aircraft to land and depart. we taxied back and the ramp and set for about 5min wating on the traffic to calm down
once it did he stept out and i taxied out.

the initial call to ground went like this
"craig ground, skyhawk 13312, student pilot at north florida with information C, ready to taxi staying in the pattern"
with a ear to ear grin on my face, but i was thinking. WOW theres alot of room in this aircraft

winds where dead only the ocational gust to 2KTS, and it was right down the runway. tower tried to throw a monkey wrench at me when
he asked me to do a right pattern instead of a left on the last time around. but i did not work. my instructer told me i sound like a pro on
the comms, so iguess all the flight time on VATSIM paysoff

i was not the only one soloing today. 2 people from a flight school just up the taxi way did as well.

i got back and the instructer had a pair of scissors in his hand. so i got the tail less shirt to prove the events of this day.

so i flew the plane by myself for the first time. and to quote Rod Machoto
"bandages stiches and perametics where not involved"

congrats! I still got the cut out from my shirt on the wall with all my great airplane artistry :P

ill try to avoid it. altho getting to close cant be any scarier than the time me and the instructer went to do the pattern at a joint militery and
civilian airport. i was in the pattern with a P-3 (they had the windows down, arm hanging out just chilling when they flew buy)

im assuming you fly your 744 the same. but have the radio turned up to loud

I soloed in a TH-55 (Schweizer 300). My IP was 200 years old and 300 lbs. of caffeine drivne grumpiness. No human being had made
me feel more useless and ignorant than that man (other than my first wife). When he got out and told me to go have fun his face nearly
formed a smile. I was going to show him that I didn't need him anymore and shot up to a perfect hover........10 feet high. OOPS, I forgot
about the 300 lbs. of missing grissle that had been sittng next to me for the last 2 weeks. I felt like the idiot that he had been telling me I
was.

Just got home from my 2nd solo. the flight went good. me and the instructor did 3 touch and goes, and i was sapose to do 3 full stop
taxibacks. but weather moved in, so i had to call it on the 2nd
