While too far, they were taking approximate course by magnetic compass. Getting closer, when their radio receivers started to receive radio beecon (NDB) from the destination airbase or carrier they just did direct on that navaid. That's it. Is it hard to imagine??? ![]() Japanies were using broadcasting radio in Honolulu as a beacon while making their way to attak PearlHarbour. ![]() Besides, there are some now forgotten methods to figure out your position in the middle of the ocean.
