Finding the Grand Canyon

hi all for ages ive been serching for the grand canyon on fs so i can race and fly right through the vallys and very high speeds but can anyone either
tell me where it is (latitude/longatude) or a very close airport to it

Fly north from KGCN (grand canyon) about 2 miles. cant miss it.

Depart PHX heading NW and look for the big ditch with some water in it. That should be it. If by chance you happen upon a REALLY big ditch with a
LOT of water in it, turn around as you have gone too far! :beer)

Huh?!!! OK, I'll give you a break since I live in Arizona and have been to the Canyon dozens of times, hiked across it rim-to-rim about 7 times, hiked
along the Tonto trail down along inside, AND rafted the entire thing. My wife and I even had our wedding ceremony on the North Rim, at Toroweap overlook.

Try the dirt strip on the North Rim called "L50" if you feel like having a bit of a challenge; its called Tuweep airstrip (a default FS2004 dirt
strip), and its actually pretty close to the Toroweap overlook; once when we were camping near there we ran into a guy riding a dirt bike who said he had flown into L50 carrying the dirt bike on his plane. My kinda bush pilot!

On FS, if you go to select a flight, kiosk flights, there is a quick flight which sets you up in a Extra 300s near the grand canyon

I prefer to fly out of KLAS east-bound to Lake Mead, or Boulder and fly from the damn on down. Makes for a nice little jaunt
