VATSIM and IVAO?

OK, I have a couple of questions about VATSIM and IVAO. I've been told that VATSIM focuses more on the US, and IVAO on Europe. Does
this mean that I can't fly with VATSIM in Europe? If I am a member of VATSIM, should I also join IVAO? Which one is better? I also noticed
that IVAO is locked and you can't join, how come?

You can fly anywhere you want with each of the organizations. It's just that ivao has more european pilots and vatsim US and they are both very good
If you like more traffic around you when flying in europe, use maybe ivao and vatsim for US though it's not that big difference anymore nowadays

VATSIM most definatley has ATC online in Europe! There are alot of different VATSIM servers, obviously the biggest being USA,
Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, but there are other servers aswell. There is a whole server deticated to Europe called VAT Europe
Division, at http://www.vateud.org. The United Kingdom is usually on at all times, France is on and off every once in a while to. Right at this minute,
Cyprus, Poland, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, Servia & Montenegro are online waiting for you . There are also different servers for Africa
(You'll most likley only see Cape Town FACT and Johannesburg FAJT online in South Africa, the rest of Africa is pretty well deserted.
Although there are different servers, you don't need to change anything to see the ATC in Europe. Download ServInfo to see all IVAO and
VATSIM ATC currently online.

Likewise, IVAO has an active US Division with control. Just a little more sporadic unfortunately.

Each network has their strong points and their weak points, just read about them and decide which is right for you.
