So there you have it, you ask on the forums of the program if you should buy it, you will get the answer you expected. And that answer for a
very good reason is: YEESSSSS ![]() Flying for Landmark Airlines.

Don't sell yourself short wayben or you will miss all the fun in life, in my humble opinion if you even think this is something you would
enjoy buy it. Just like a new job even if you don't know everything walk through that open door, you can always ask and learn later. Life is a learning curve for all of us anyway or we would never walk from baby hood. tip: practice landing at the default flight in fs9. 1. set your nav 1 radio to 110.30 if it is not already set to that. There is a center switch on the radio to put the frequency to the active side go up 2000 feet altitude, to save time pause your game open your map display and drag your plane back about 10 miles from the landing ils feathers. set your autopilot altitude to 2000 ft. and turn it on, line up the aircraft towards the runway if it is not already by clicking the heading to the left of the map does not have to be exact. press the app (approach) button on the auto pilot. Unpause your game make sure the app auto pilot button is on. Your aircraft will now automatcally line up with the runway beacon. Save your flight to practice this over and over call it auto land or some such name . When your aircraft reaches the feathers area indicated on the map you just saw, it will automatically start it's descent on the glideslope. Just before touchdown I hit the z key in order to make a soft landing by lifting the nose ever so slightly, remember also to keep your speed to the reference margins for landing what ever aircraft you choose. At touch down cut your throttle the rest you will learn with experience such as deploying your reverse thrusters and speed brake to stop quicker etc. you can also practice in all kinds of weather, I like the snowstorm setting ![]() I have my failures set at only 1% this is elevated greatly in a war zone though, I enjoy 1% because I just like flying like in real life but I like the realism of the possibilty of an emergency and adrenaline flow. So far I have over 18,000 nm for this company. I had to scrap the 747 below though Regards to all, flameout PS; Landing practice pays off big time in fs pax. I just made a successful belly landing with the 747 full of people at McCarren in Las Vegas and gained 1400 pts. The landing gear was jammed and failed .The successful outcome of this was due to practice training, training, training and nothing else. We all have that learning curve so don,t get frustrated and quit. below is part of the flight report I just discussed ,you can see the fun of this game: Company: Sky King Air Aircraft: Boeing 747-400 Paint2 Flight Date: October 22 2005 Departure: 13h30 (20h31 GMT) Arrival: 14h18 (21h18 GMT) From: KPHX - Phoenix Sky Harbor Intl - Usa To: KLAS - Mc Carran Intl - Usa Nbr of Passengers: 342 Incident Report: The gear didn't go down properly. I used to think I was a good sim pilot. After several bad landings I have come to find out that my flying leaves a bit to be desired, however I
canNOT fly without using FsP. It makes simming MUCH more enjoyable

Wayben,
The best advise I can give you it to download and try out the demo. That's what it's here for. Now to answer your question, yes, as a newbie to both Fs2004 and flying, you can benefit from FsP for the simple reason that FsP forces you to apply yourself when flying. It will help you learn new things and when used in conjunction with Fs2004 lesson, will make of you a great virtual pilot. I hope this answers your question. ... oh, and DBE, I'm with Brad on that one... maybe we should ban you. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
