I have just though of a small suggestion for FsP 2.0 (or 1.1 or 1.5 or whatever Dan calls it). I am the type of person who constantly reformats his
computer and reinstalls one or more operating systems - and by constantly, I mean about once a month. That means I am always backing everything up on
an 80GB external USB2.0 hard drive. Usually all I export is Documents (formerly My Documents), Pictures, and Music (both of which used to be under
the purview of My Documents, but I run Vista now
), and of course, my FsP stuff. I was just thinking that it would be cool if the FsP stuff that is
backed up (e.g. database, config, config_va, et cetera) could be stored in the Flight Simulator Files folder in Documents. Then, I would have
a few less folders to worry about forgetting.
Also, to all the complainers about spouses hijacking FsP - this way, you could have a separate user account for them to hijack (with yours heavily
password protected) and yours would be safely stuck in a password protected, possibly encrypted, folder. A win-win situation
