Got some news for you guys. I just built my pc, a amd xn 4200+, 1.5 ram. I bought a 512 BFG GeForce 7950 GT and I put max on
everything andddddd it couldnt handle FSX, it does it though on almost high settings. My mission is to try it on my brothers computer. He's got a Evga GeForce 7950 GX2 1gb vc. I want to install in on there and run full everything and see how it can handle it then cause if it doesnt, I guess a you have to SLI the card in order to get some good rendering out of this program.

I dowloaded the resized (half size) european autogen texture form flightsim.com. Since the autogen is the big killer ihis might help. But I did not test it till now. But maby esomeone can try that out if this helps.

What will be the cost of DX10?

DirectX10 graphics cards will vary in price depending on their performance, just like the DirectX9 graphics cards of today.
I couldn't even give you a guess, unfortunately; we've just got to wait until they're available, and see.

I just looked at the performance of Geforce8800GTX and boy, I was glad I sat down when I saw it, it's a giant leap forward in performance
and my plans to buy an 7900GTO are changed, I will save money and get an 8800 in 6 months... Compare and look at graphic cards (including 8800GTX) at http://www.gpureview.com/

Quote:What will be the cost of DX10?It's included with your purchase price of Windows Vista which will be the mandatory OS for running DX10. From my understanding, Vista will have BOTH DX9 and DX10 installed on it, or, at least, the ability to run/support both. DX10 DOES NOT replace DX9...it will supplement it. ![]() |
