Failures in Aerosoft Airbus X Extended - bubib5 - 19-02-2014
Hi guys, for my first post and a quick question..
As failures are not simulated on the Airbus X will there be any as i have not had any in over 26 flights?

yeah i get you..i have been flying the wilco evolution series a319 for more then 30 flights just after that i got a few bird strikes, engine
flameouts and similar things.. but what concerns me is that i have seen on the web that the aribus x extended does not simulate failures at
all..so what i am asking is will fspx be able to simulate a failure even if the aircraft itself is not able to do that? i hope you understand me.. i
have my fixed failures set to 10% easy to hard..

I have had failures with the Airbus...on a previous installation. Recently had to replace a couple of hard drives and finally re-installed the Airbus.
Have flown it only a few times and have had one failure so far:

Hi guys, I hope it's okay that I'm hijacking this thread
Yesterday I had a fire on the right hand engine shortly after takeoff in the Airbus Extended.
So I did my best to save the passengers and shut the engine down. As written in the first post, failures are completely not implemented in the Airbus
Extended.
And of course, the fire extinguishing system is also just a texture...
After shutting the engine down, I lost airspeed and the plane stalled while the remaining engine was still on full thrust!
So I think at least engine failures (and single engine ops) are not working in the Airbus extended, causing the plane to crash, can anybody confirm this?
Is there any way to disable engine failures in this specific aircraft? Is it possible use one profile with engine failures enabled for my PMDG
aircrafts and one with engine failures disabled for the AXE?
Or maybe there's any other workaround?
I'm very thankful for any tips or tricks to resolve this issue.
