I was lookin through the forums and Ive seen people complaining about fs2004 ATC with lousy vectoring close calls with terrian and you
are not able to squawk 7700 but if u use the program that the hardcore Flight Simmers use (]you must be proficent with atc and pilot
phraseology if not do not download this) the program is called SQUAWKBOX3.xx and to use simply download and go but YOU MUST BE
A REGESTERED MEMBER OF VATSIM TO USE THE PROG IE VATSIM.NET and with this program u get LIVE ATC YES LIVE WITH REAL
PEOPLE LOOKING AT RADAR TELLING U WHAT TO DO VIA IFR/VFR GO GET IT HAPPY FLYING http://squawkbox.ca/downloads/

Pardon the sarcasm, but I think the existence of online flying networks with "real" ATC is quite common knowledge to 99.9% of the people that are deep
enough into FS to buy addons like FSP.

Well like in my message there were quit a few people posting about fs2004 ATC this was to relieve them of that FS ATC torture

It's okay, but as you say you do need to know phraseology, which many non-pilots do not have a grasp on. Add to that my PC is in the
living room with to many other distractions so I may not hear them and you have a recipe for getting booted or disaster, whichever comes
first. I used to sometimes use VoxATC until my Mic broke, now I have a new Mic but Vox seems to have gone out on me.

Hey jboweruk...is VoxATC really usable? I personally hated the way the ATC sounded and the fact that it doesn't interact with AI aircraft...has
anything happend resently with Vox, or what is it that you like the most with it....just curious.

I never tried VOX because it doesn't interact with FS Traffic (as you mentioned). For me, it would ruin the experience to see other aircraft
taking off or landing without talking to tower in some way.

I was a Vatsim member for quite a while 2 years ago and the trouble I found was that you couldn't understand half of what the controllers
were saying, and this was in the UK. USA wasn't that bad but with all the crackles and pops and drop outs, I gave up. I remember flying to
Oslo once and when contacting approach I was greeted with laughing and shouting, I think there was a party going on,lol, so my flight
ended then.

Why did you mention this? As Nem stated when we talk about ATC, all of the posts are about improving OFFLINE ATC.
I could never get into the online ATC bit... never had the controllers in all the right places, just didn't work for me. I'll stick with the good old default FS9
ATC. lol.

On the other hand you have more than enough opportunities to fly with REAL ATC, so small wonder you can put up with what MS throws at us no problem.
