Cant get the pax to board - mark1million - 17-10-2007

Hi Guys for some reason i cant seem to get the pax to board the ac, when i start with them already loaded the program wont do anything.
The strange thing is it worked fine yesterday but not today and nothing has changed.

I am having trouble with pmdg's 738, the default ac in fs9 work. could some one point me in the right direction for a fix

Thanks

Mark

Can you post a screenshot of the fsp load screen?

Like in the real world, passengers find it much easier to get on board if the door is open.

FsPax also insists on the parking brake set.

Door is open PB is set!

You have 184 pax on board in the picture above?

So what happens when you click load immediately or real time load?

Re: Cant get the pax to board - mark1million - 17-10-2007

Nothing the program doesnot start. It says cand board door not open but the door is open, i then close the door wait then reopen the door
still wont load. If i click load immediately they respond to the seatbent sign going on and off but no crew announcements or cp. I did a
flight in this state and when i landed i clicked end flight and it said abort flight? No flight has taken place.
It seems it wont get past the initial stage of the program for some reason. but it works on the default fs9 a/c.

Thanks
Mark

I don't have any PMDG aircraft, so I can't know for sure. But it sounds like this add-on aircraft does not use the native FS9 door open/close
functionality. When you open/close the door, does that text message "Main Exit opening/closing" appear on the screen or not?

yes it does use the normal key combination to open the doors shift+E

That doesn't guarantee that the panel and model interact via the KEY_TOGGLE_AIRCRAFT_EXIT event and the corresponding MAIN_EXIT_OPEN Token Variable
(or "Canopy Open" as it is named in XML gauges).

It is easy enough to whip up a tiny XML gauge displaying the value of (A:Canopy Open, percent), add that to the PMDG panel and check if Shift+E does
affect that simulator variable or not.

I don't use a panel i have use project magenta's software, strange thing is it worked fine before a couple of days ago and now suddenly it
doesn't.

The key here is the FSpassengers program will not progress any further in either situation load immediately or real time load so the
exit opening is not the problem here.

Maybe one of the developers can answer why fspax would not progress pass the load stage if something isn't right either with the pax or
AC config file.

Thanks Mark

I have just tried the other variations of the PMDG and they all seem to work fine and the pax load.

So this is AC specific, what would cause this please

Just a WAG (Wild A-- Guess), see if the aircraft.cfg file has Read Only attributes. Perhaps FsP can read the payload model for that
specific plane but the program cannot write the changes needed in the Weights and Balance paragraph of the .cfg file. If Read Only, try
changing the file properties to Archive and reload the model.
