OK guys, what aircraft do you fly? - fpborges - 28-07-2005

Just for fun:

My FSP airline has:

1 Cessna 172, for short vfr hops
1 DeHavilland Twin Otter, for extra-short runway ops and general bush-flying
1 Fokker F100 to fly the tourists around the beaches
1 Cessna Citation X for VIP/Ultra-fast intercontinental flights

The Citation isn't making money yet, my rep is a bit over 80%, so I can't get enough pax. The other planes are making up for the losses...

How about you?

Cheers,
FPB

Right now, just 1 plane, a Piper Malibu Mirage. My pilot is just at rank C1, and I've only made 2 flights (I don't have much spare time to play). I
do like the plane a lot though; I overhauled the panel and got rid of the almost non-functional Garmin radio stack, and replaced it with Bendix-King.

The Malibu Mirage is a great starter plane. 1000 NM range, 6-seater, pressurized, very smooth controls, and fairly fast.

Hi

I started with a Cessna 208, then moved on to a B1900C, then Saab 340, ATR 72, B727-100, B727-200, and then I bought a cheap A321
and a very cheap DC-8-63 for long haul. Unforunately I miscalculated the wingspan of the DC-8 when taxing in at Monrovia and hit a VOR-
station, so now I've left with the 321. Top

Re: OK guys, what aircraft do you fly? - Felix - 28-07-2005

I have currently in my fleet:

2 x Cessna 208B Caravan
1 x Learjet 45 (wich I am currently flying - and somehow I don't like this thing)
plenty of Cessna 172's
1 x Cessna 182

I'm currently saving money for an ATR72 - 2 Mio € to go!

Greetings
Felix

Re: OK guys, what aircraft do you fly? - IanP - 28-07-2005

I decided to start the hard way and have 2 Beech A36 Bonanzas and a Piper PA-28-236 Dakota. They're all currently making money, but nowhere near enough!

In 7hrs and 220 points time (unless ActiveSky V gets me dinged almost 1000 points again for throwing the passengers out of their seats...) I'll be
looking for my first twin. Possibly a Seneca or a C421, depending on whether I can fly the C421 (it's pressurised! I can get over the mountains at
last! Wink)

Cheers,

Ian P.

Re: OK guys, what aircraft do you fly? - Gerry - 29-07-2005

I dont even know how to purschase diffrent planes. Do you have to be in the aircraft you want to purchase, cause thats what I did for my
first one(King Air 200). Now lets say I wanted a 737, I would have to select a 737 and then pusrchase correct.

Do you have to be in carreer mode to purchase multiple planes or is economic mode ok too.

one more question, If you have 2 planes I guess you would need 2 pilots for both planes to make you money right? also how does the
2nd aircraft chose fligths, do you have to chose it? (I know that was 2 more questions sorry LOL)?

You know what, It might actually be in the manual , Ill go check.

Thanks

Re: OK guys, what aircraft do you fly? - Ryanamur - 29-07-2005

Hi Gerry,

Yes, you do have to be in the aircraft you want to purchase. If you are in career mode, you do need to have a pilot rated for the type to purchase.
Now, try closing Fs2004, rebooting your PC and then restarting you Fs2004 to purchase a plane. If you still get the 737 when you want to purchase the
king air, try unistalling both Fs2004 adn FsP and reinstalling the duo.

Hi Phil,

Everything works A-ok, Thanks for the quick reply.
I think I have to read the manual, because Im sure there are things Im missing. Thats my problem, I always want to just jump right in and
forget about the reading LOL.

Thanks again.

Re: OK guys, what aircraft do you fly? - SWAFO - 29-07-2005

I've just got the PMDG 737-700 (Southwest livery w/winglets of course Smile I've got about 93% company reputation... gunning for 100

Re: OK guys, what aircraft do you fly? - alex20 - 29-07-2005

only in 3D Virtual cockpit : PMDG 737-700 NG Smile

-realistic mode
-only real weather conditions
-90% company reputation, 13 flights: 12 -perfect- 1-very poor- (aborted the take-off -engine down)

FSP is the best add-on for FS9!!!

Re: OK guys, what aircraft do you fly? - lightrail - 29-07-2005

I've just started my airline with an idiot pilot rated at C0 - the moron can't remember to close the doors before takeoff, or opens it in midflight.
So because of this nutter, I'm still stuck with one Mooney Bravo - at least he hasn't crashed it - yet.

Re: OK guys, what aircraft do you fly? - Paton - 29-07-2005

I have 4 Lear60's and 1 lear45 and 1 cessna CitationX. As you can tell I am a fan of the buisness jets.

I real life, I am a master C152 pilot. (well not yet,but getting there.)
