flight date as it occurs in the End of flight report - camaflight - 13-01-2006

Hi Folks !

The flight date stated in the flight report does not correspond with the date flown.

Today; Friday 13th of January 2006 I made a flight.
The End of flight report shows :

Flight Date: 28 November 2005

Is this a bug or can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong, or forgotten to do?

The flight time in the FS 9 was 13.1.05 for sure, because I activated Real Time (addon) Besides, it happens all the time that FsP logged
date differs from actual flight date in FS 9.

I have been searching the forum(s) for a relevant topic, but witout any hit. Perhaps I'm using odd key words....

This is because you use the FSP option "use Fs9 date" instead of "use real date"
see "setup"

Hope this help ?

OK, Thanks Dan.

I will redefine the time setting in the setup. I think I must have misunderstood this option as I assumed that "use Fs9 date" had to be the
right thing as long as I actually set the time and date I prefer in "World" menu within FS 9 itself. Or I use the "Real TIme" addon program
that accordingly set the FS time......well then, I suppose the thing is I did not understand the meaning or effect of "use real date".

So, next time I use this latter option and we will see....

Re: flight date as it occurs in the End of flight report - firebug - 14-01-2006

Funny this 'bug' is mentioned coz I had the same problem last week. I set the date in Fs9 somewhere at the first days of januari, but the flight
report of FsP mentioned November 2005. Even when I changed the Fs date to another date, FsP kept the same date in November 2005.

The date if you set "use Fs9 date" is the date set in your starting "fs9 flight"
ie: you can set a flight that start at la guardia in november 1920 another
that start at New York in 2270 etc etc

Ok. Is this the "DEFAULT" Flight? I'm having a hell of a time to get this to the date OF MY FLIGHT. The default (starting) date is May
10th 2006. Todays date is May 23rd 2006. But FSP has March 26th 2006. Why is this? I want the actuall date of my flight.

Thanks

Rich

Re: flight date as it occurs in the End of flight report - poden - 24-05-2006

This whole date subject seems to be confusing, and there actually could be some sort of FSP bug too. Here's my experience. I performed a series of hops from Alaska/Aleutian islands over to Kamchatka (Russia) then down through Japan, the Phillipines, and then back east across the south Pacific (in my flying boat). I have FSP set to "use FS9 date." At first, the date logged for each hop in FSP matched the FS9 date. But then I crossed the International Date Line, heading west towards Russia. At this point, the date logged in my FSP pilot's log JUMPED BACKWARDS by about 2 months. The entire time I was flying in the Western Pacific, the logged FSP date remained out of synch with the FS9 date by about two months, even though I reset the date a few times in FS9 at the start of my flights. Then on the hop on which I recrossed the International Date Line heading east, the FSP date snapped back into synch with the FS9 date.

Is it possible that FSP has some sort of problem getting the correct date from FS9? Could it be a problem in the Eastern Hemisphere, but not in the Western Hemisphere?
