Add-on scenery airport not showing on GPS, thus not in FsP either - AltairZQ - 13-01-2006 I have this airport calle LEHI in a scenery. It can be seen both in FS9 and FSNav just fine. It can also be searched in FS9-Go to airport, selecting add-on scenery. BUT, it's not on the GPS-nearest, and I've read from Dan that FsP gets the airport from there. So I get the: Passenger Opinion: Mostly uneventful apart from a few moments. (78%) -Are angry because they didn't reach their planned destination. So I'd like to know what makes an airport show on FSNav and not on GPS? Is it something I could fix editing some configuration file? Re: Add-on scenery airport not showing on GPS, thus not in FsP either - SaVas - 13-01-2006 Not sure if it will help but see if there is an AFCAD file available for DL on AvSim Re: Add-on scenery airport not showing on GPS, thus not in FsP either - DanSteph - 13-01-2006 suprisingly I don't know where come the GPS data of Fs9 (I mean wich file they are on) I would say as Savas from the afcad file but I'm not sure. (I'm not a scenery specialist) Dan Re: Add-on scenery airport not showing on GPS, thus not in FsP either - AltairZQ - 20-05-2006 Thanks for the replies (sorry I forgot). Still clueless about that ![]() Re: Add-on scenery airport not showing on GPS, thus not in FsP either - Ryanamur - 20-05-2006 Another option would be NOT to set a destination for those flights. That way you won't get dinged for landing at the wrong destination. Re: Add-on scenery airport not showing on GPS, thus not in FsP either - QF6024 - 21-05-2006 Had the same issue I have been building my own airstrips(OK a mate as well) for Western Australia -all the small ALA's. Any way when they are created they were identified but would not show on GPS or the map for inclusion on routes. However as soon as I created an afcad file up she pops. The creation is not difficult either. Re: Add-on scenery airport not showing on GPS, thus not in FsP either - AltairZQ - 22-05-2006 Ok... seems like making an AFCAD is the only way, will try to. Thanks a lot. Re: Add-on scenery airport not showing on GPS, thus not in FsP either - olseric - 31-05-2006 The actual data displayed in your GPS comes from a seperate XML compiled BGL file. The airport should show up by just making an AFCAD, but the procedures and such have to be "hand-coded" and compiled. |
