FsP locking up in windowed mode - Blogsy - 22-08-2005
I've had a problem that I've only noticed since I updated to the latest version 20050810
I usually use the sim in full screen mode, but now if I use the Tab key whilst in flight to get at the menu, FsP locks up.
The 1st time I noticed was after a long flight and when I landed and parked at the gate I shut down engines and opened the door. No-
one was getting off the plane. I tried to "end flight" and it said I hadn't landed.
This happens all the time now so I have to fly in windowed mode.
I've just done another long flight and was a little too keen to hit the "1" key to respond to ATC and it took me to the Load flightplan screen.
I cancelled that and got back to the flight. Bang, It's locked up again.
If I need to re-install FsP again, Which files do I need to back up so I can continue with my career mode. I've spent hours getting to C6
and not too keen on losing it.
I've got to say that FsP is the best add-on I've ever purchased and makes an already addictive program even more addictive.
At my divorce hearing, Do I name Dan as the cause or Microsoft? It seems a 50/50 choice at the moment.

Backup the "Database" folder in Program Files/Microsoft Games/ Flight Simulator 9/FsPassengers/.
After a reinstall just copy it over and you'll be all set.

Silo's right... you might also want to back up some of your payload files or logo's. I also back up the more_option.cfg file.

Thanks guys. Will do that.
Hopefully this will solve the lockouts.
If it doesn't, I'll have to think about a new soundcard or something, I've been reading in the forums that a Soundblaster Live doesn't
perform too well with FsP. Maybe its something to do with that.

I have a SB live it perform well... that doesn't seem to be the problem.
Anymore info appreciated. Can you post the log.txt after it happen and you quit Fs also ?

I think it's mainly the SB Audigy series that's been having the problems. I have this card, and have problems with a few programs (FS
isn't one of them), but nothing unbearable.
