How do you call up Emergency or anything to that matter - cheetah - 15-08-2005 I was wondering, while I was flying an A319 from JFK to Florida and have lost an engine, how do I go about calling an emergency. I don't see that option under ATC. Funny thing is, the passenger was enjoying the weather "Impressed with the weather" and still didn't realize the plane was in a dire situation. Re: How do you call up Emergency or anything to that matter - Ryanamur - 15-08-2005 Cheetah, You must use the CRT+SHF+M key to call an emergency. Be careful though. If the co-pilot didn't tell you there was an emergency, it's not FsP related and declaring an emergency will cause you to be penalized. Also, if you are flying IFR with Fs2004 ATC, don't squack 7700 until on short final because if you do, your ATC services will be immediately terminated. Phil Re: How do you call up Emergency or anything to that matter - cheetah - 15-08-2005 Thanks, Phil. FSP really got me addicted to FS9. The passengers, the services, the flying, the company's image, the stress!! I didn't realize FS9 is so much fun that it is giving me stress. Re: How do you call up Emergency or anything to that matter - SWAFO - 15-08-2005 Like Phil stated, make sure your co-pilot says something about your "emergency" before haphazardly declaring a mayday. Big penalties for a false failure declaration. Re: How do you call up Emergency or anything to that matter - Er!k - 16-08-2005 The other day I was flying to KLAX and I wanted to stop the movie... Per accident I used CTRL+SHFT+M instead of CTRL+SHFT+O; damn, what a mistake! ![]() Re: How do you call up Emergency or anything to that matter - Ryanamur - 16-08-2005 ![]() ![]() ![]() around ![]() |
