Passenger numbers - a tweak or two needed imo - Lexandro - 01-02-2016 Just a quick post to say I think the way the passenger numbers for a flight are worked out need a wee tweak. It seems like its weighted to much for ticket price rather than reputation or number of flights at a specific airport. I would prefer ticket price to be less of a factor and reputation to be more of a factor. Your thoughts? The two do work in tandem to a degree, so if you reputation is 100%, then you can charge more for tickets and still get a full plane, just like if your reputation was 10%, you would have to charge rock-bottom prices to even have a hope of getting a full plane. When I fly from my home airpots with the reputation of 91-92% I always get 140-145 pax waiting on a gate, regardless of destination popularity. I would like to see three options for number of PAX - low, standard and high popularity, that will randomize numbers, for example Low (50-65% of pax waiting at gate), standard (65-80%) and high (80-100%). This would eliminate discrepancies when returning from a first time airport back to your hub. |
