FS time penalties - kaleun - 15-12-2006

How bad are the penalties for accelerating time in flight?
Even in short haul flights, I seldom (read never) can sit in front of my computer for 1 or 2 hours without work or wife interrupting.
In Airline Pilot, you don't get sim penalties in easy mode.
Before buying the full FSPassengers version I'd like to know your thoughts on this.

Re: FS time penalties - Canada_Boy - 15-12-2006

Re: FS time penalties - poden - 15-12-2006

You can also disable the time compression penalty.

Re: FS time penalties - kaleun - 15-12-2006

Even better!
I usually play at work (Don't ask) since at home the missus gets "issues" if I play too long Wink so time compression is a must.

Re: FS time penalties - Ceemosp - 15-12-2006

Ummm you can also pause the flight as it doesn't influence the result. That way you get full points w/o time acceleration (which has it's
disadvantages such as overspeed etc)

Carsten

Re: FS time penalties - kaleun - 15-12-2006

That works only for short haul flights. On a flight greater than 1 or 2 hours, I can't just leave my laptop unattended for so long.
Good that the time compression penalty can be disabled. (I know this creates overspeed issues)Huh

if you are on a laptop you can go into standby or hibernation mode and when you turn your laptop back on you game will be right were you
left off

Re: FS time penalties - kaleun - 15-12-2006

Many times if you hibernate, the whole thing crashes on restart. (Sometimes it doesn't)

Re: FS time penalties - kaleun - 16-12-2006

OK. How do I disable the time penalyt?
