When Dan created FsP, he integrated an excellent export function into the software that we should be thankful for. However, I believe that the PHP
script on the web is somewhat lacking. I am thinking of a sort of 'FsPassengers Import Script on Steroids' to work on some of the issues that I have
noticed on this issue. Here are a few things that I might implement:
- Skinability
- MySQL table prefixes (to install more than one copy per database)
- Easy to use install script
- Automatically CHMOD files if possible
- Modularity
- A more advanced user system. I would start with encrypting the passwords (sorry, but leaving those unencrypted in the database is a bit scary), of
course, and probably add a user register script, et cetera, possibly working up to a full VA user framework?
- Small NOTAM system
- Manual adding of PIREPs.
My main question is: would anyone be interested? Many of the more 'advanced' people tend to make their own systems anyway, so I'm not sure what the
demand would be.

You know I would be interested, I have already done a complete overhaul of the script to do what I want as it is.

On top of that, the ability to send back full messages to the system, or edit the login system because there is some stuff I would like to
change (and some spelling errors -- but that isn't the full point)
But I know that would require a new release for FS9 on dans end.
