I'M 'terribly upset' - bdlong - 16-08-2006

For the most part, I love fspassengers and can't stand to simfly without it. However, after a flight like this it makes
me wonder why....

Almost a 4 hr flight - would have been a huge money maker, with a big bump in my points. Arrived within 8
minutes of my estimated time, landing v/s
of less than 200 - 2 miles visibility and 600 foot ceiling while flying manually on the glidescope. At first it was a
very refreshing and satisfying
flight,

THEN......

Taxing at 27 knts, (i'll admit, maybe a little fast). The nosewheel bounces and now it says that 7 passengers were
killed!!! I get a huge bill for
repairs and 850 point deduction!!! The last thing I want to see is 4 hrs of sitting in front of the computer - without
even taken a bathroom break -
only to see it all go down the drain.....WHAT A WASTED NIGHT.

Re: I'M PISSED!!!!! - twanut - 16-08-2006

I feel your pain, man! The other day I got killed in my stationair when I turned a little to quickly off a grass strip in Alabama. Everybody
somehow died including myself at an impressive 12 knots. The tradgedy was two-fold. First, I had a bunch of hours and points and I lost
them all, and two my little Middle Tennessee based charter company I built from scratch completely went out of buisness. I went on
blood pressure medicine shortly thereafter.

Re: I'M PISSED!!!!! - alphaone - 16-08-2006

That's not fspassenger's fault though. It's a scenery error which fspax interprets as a crash. It really can't know better.

Quote:It's a scenery error

Hmm, similar to my building crash at KEWR - 3rd party freeware. In the middle of the ramp, nothing within about 100 feet of me -
CRASH! Wall

Re: I'M PISSED!!!!! - Enzo - 16-08-2006

Happened a couple of times to me... crushing into "invisible" buildings (Oslo and Manila freeware scenery, both deleted by the
way Big Grin )... nosewheel bounces... planes overtaking me on final...
My solution: switch off crash detection

Re: I'M PISSED!!!!! - Landmark Airlines - 16-08-2006

Had that too with add-on scenery, was taxiing along at WSSS when i hit something which was actually nothing, also at EDDMWall

Re: I'M PISSED!!!!! - Joeflyer - 16-08-2006

Now I know why I don't have a bunch of 3rd party scenery Smile Sorry to hear about your misfortune though!

Re: I'M 'terribly upset' - highlander - 16-08-2006

But Drew! P***ed (in the UK at least) means "intoxicated", not "angry", and is therefore not a swearword!

Therefore, he was simply explaining that, rather than getting angry about the crash, he decided to get horribly drunk, and then tell us all about it!
Big Grin

Re: I'M 'terribly upset' - Drew - 16-08-2006
