Bad Luck - Dash8driver - 21-07-2006 On my return flight from Bangkok to Phuket, Thai 777, I was cruising along at M.78 when I wanted to switch to FS Navigator (F9). Well, instead I hit F8 and we all know what that does. The flaps were destroyed and I had to make an emergency landing. Well, I still think they are cleaning up the debris on and off the runway. It was a pitiful sight and sound, one I hope not to repeat soon. Re: Bad Luck - WBHoenig - 21-07-2006 I hate when that happens. Same thing when starting movie or music with Ctrl+Shift+M. Or maybe your engines shut down and you want to try to use Ctrl+E, but instead you use Shift+E. Re: Bad Luck - Drew - 21-07-2006 i changed fsnav to use F12 for that very reason ![]() Re: Bad Luck - Airliner - 22-07-2006 That's not bad luck (as, there's really no such thing), that's just called, "Not paying attention!" ![]() KIDDING! Please don't send me hate mail. ![]() I remapped ALL my keys for FS - started with a keyboard template and a master list of all mappable controls, picked the ones I wanted and aligned them on the template. I also put FSP assignments on there and now my entire keyboard is setup for FS and FSP with no controls or shifts needed. I just removed all the key combos not needed or put them on shift functions, just in case but I never use them. |
