Disable/Adjust sink rate on final - NavyAirTraffic - 07-09-2019
I think the default sink rate penalty is around 5000fpm in flight (where the passengers start screaming), but on final this happens around 2000fpm. I don't fly traditional flights, I tend to fly into mountainous regions that have steep approaches.
Is there any way to adjust the final approach descent rate? I've already checked all of the .cfg files in the FSP folder. Thanks.

You cannot adjust this as it is not a normal approach angle with a majority of the aviation community
Perhaps if Dan would get back to updating FsP he could make this adjustment in the more_options.cfg

Thanks for the response Joe but even though I'm newly registered here, I'm actually a long time lurker and FSP user and I know that it doesn't appear as though Dan will be back any time soon. Which is fine, I wish him good health vs my measly problem
I see in the Bin folder the actual Config.cfg file is there but there are no values or are hidden. Is there any way to access that file that you know of? I'll make a backup of it so I am not afraid to break something. Thanks

You could be correct about Dan.I would not attempt to edit the Config.cfg file or the database for that matter. Do either at your own risk
