I have no idea where you might have seen FsP being sold for 600 bucks. No way this would happen at Simmarket or Flightsim Store or directly through Dan. Perhaps you made typo or misunderstood the pricing.
Yes, Dan has been MIA for a while. I haven't heard from him in some time. I haven't an idea on what has happened.
I seem to be the only active moderator, but I am a customer just like you. I have no influence on anything Dan does with his product. But, he does offer this:

No my dear Joe.. It's 29 Euros for Europeans.
Convert 29 Euros to African Currency and it goes all the way up to 600 bucks. That's not an amount I can play. I had to wait for months for FSX to go on special on steam to afford that. FsPassengers @ 29 Euros is almost 3x what I paid for FSX

That's horrible pricing Candice. Had no idea African currency was like that. is it time to move to another location in order to get a better deal? Haha, kidding!

:P I wish, it's quite expensive to get a flight out alone never mind all the other costs and capital you need to have for immigration. Anyway it's okay, I guess I'll just fly without passengers until he's back.
