[Solved]P3D Closes to desktop with FsP. A struggling story... - tonaz - 21-03-2017 Hello! I've been testing the same flight since some months and P3D always CTD at the same location (P3D 3.4.22, nvidia 378.33 recomended, windows 10 home 64, latest FsP and some addons. Specs overkill requirements, i7 3770K, GTX980ti, 32GB ram, 1500W power system). The flight is from Buenos Aires to Heathrow and it CTD always when i am near Capo Verde islands and Tenerife island, near Mauritania coast, in the middle of the ocean. Unfortunately it simply closes to desktop, no event log. At first i thought maybe it could be orbx products, expecially Vector, or anyway something about scenery or even AI. But talking about Orbx i got europe and north america so it does not make sense thinking the culprit is Orbx, since i was flying near Africa, so no addons. I also tried the flight with zeroed AI. Always with the same aircraft. Every time the same CTD near the same location. So i decided to make a run without FsP, even if it didn't made any sense to me. Oh well... Against all my hopes it looks like it is FsPassengers. And the wrost thing is that this is even more sensless to me. I did again (and again and again... for the 7th time or more now) the long flight without FsP (keeping all OrbX and other big stuff) and i was able to takeoff from SAEZ, cruise at 320 KIAS @ FL300, and land to EGLL after about 14 hours, with no problem. Also VAS was rock solid 1.35 GB left all time. Now, my only explanation is that it is not about an exact place, scenery, geographical coords... It is more about time than the place, and after that exact time FsP makes P3D close to desktop. This amount of time, is about 7 - 8 hours of flying, just there, near Tenerife as said. Now i am even more clueless. :-( Do you think there is something related between FsP, an exact location and long flights? Any clue, hint or help please? After all this i lost at least 10 years and i am devastated. RE: P3D Closes to desktop with FsP. A struggling story... - PAINMAN - 21-03-2017 I have the same problem if I uninstall fspassenger I can fly 11 hour flights but with fspassengers it crashes after 5-6 hours. The event log doesn't show anything appcrash doesn't show anything. I'm really puzzled about this. Kind regards Mattias RE: P3D Closes to desktop with FsP. A struggling story... - tonaz - 21-03-2017 Sorry for you buddy, but glad to hear it is not only me. Any word from Dan? RE: P3D Closes to desktop with FsP. A struggling story... - PAINMAN - 21-03-2017 i havent tried to reach him. i deleted my cfg file and made a new one and i can do more testing this weekend. Kind regards Mattias RE: P3D Closes to desktop with FsP. A struggling story... - tonaz - 21-03-2017 trust me, this has nothing to do with the cfg RE: P3D Closes to desktop with FsP. A struggling story... - tonaz - 22-03-2017 Joe? Dan? Looks like other people have the same issue with long haul flights, as i can see from the forums. I bought FsP the 7th January 2016 and i never had this problem with short-mid flights, but now i get enough skilled to make a long haul, and even if i bought FsP one year ago, i'm considering to ask your Company for a refund, 'couse i didn't payed for a 7 hours demo... I am getting a bit nervous not hearing nothing from you. I did ANOTHER test flight, and this time i had a Windows event log. Here it is, with the FsP one. Windows Log: Code: Nome dell'applicazione che ha generato l'errore: Prepar3D.exe, versione: 3.4.22.19868, timestamp: 0x588f7cbf FsP Log: Code: ------------------------------------- RE: P3D Closes to desktop with FsP. A struggling story... - PAINMAN - 22-03-2017 I wonder if it's something that LM did with their update last time around. And that screwed up something for fspassengers,I have owned this product a long time in just p3d and never had this issue but after latest update something is broken. Kind regards Mattias RE: P3D Closes to desktop with FsP. A struggling story... - Joeflyer - 23-03-2017 Tonaz and others who seem to have these long haul flight issues with FsP, Windows 10 and P3D: I am currently out of the US on travel and have had very little time to get online to answer questions. I apologize for this. Will be back in the US this Saturday and may get more of an opportunity to explore these issues more with you. If Dan is not responding at all here, please keep sending him emails. If you are wanting a refund, Dan will be the one to ask about this. Wish I could be of more help in that regard. RE: P3D Closes to desktop with FsP. A struggling story... - PAINMAN - 23-03-2017 I don't want a refund I love the program. The ONLY thing I want is that I can fly any length without stuff crashing. Kind regards RE: P3D Closes to desktop with FsP. A struggling story... - DanSteph - 23-03-2017 Hi Painman and Tonaz, Such problem is very difficult to debug. FsPassengers don't touch anything with the IA, but it might push the fault (sooner?) simply because it take some place in memory. Do you see any memory usage increase during the flight ? P3D seem to crash for some peoples with long flight even without FsP: https://www.google.ch/search?q=p3d+long+flight+crash Kind regards Dan RE: P3D Closes to desktop with FsP. A struggling story... - tonaz - 23-03-2017 Thanks Dan. It is not always related to AI by the way. That was the only time i had an event log (ai_player.dll). Most of times it simply closes to desktop. As told on OP, virtual address space and memory usage is rock solid and running fine. "P3D seem to crash for some peoples with long flight even without FsP" Ehrm... Ok, but for me IT IS FsP making the long hauls crash ![]() I tried to do the same test flight for the 12th time right now. No need to say always same configuration, hardware, software setups. 6 flights without FsP, no problem, tookoof at SAEZ, landed at EGLL. about 14.30 hours flight. 6 flights with FsP, tookoof at SAEZ, crash always after 7-8 hours, near the African coast. Don't you think that i can easly say and confirm it is FsP? I could go further... But believe me, i am exhausted and frustated. RE: P3D Closes to desktop with FsP. A struggling story... - PAINMAN - 23-03-2017 Yeah I bought the 747 from PMDG and flew 3 long haul flights the shortest was 8 hours 30 minutes and the longest was 13 hours. I was having no problems at all the only thing I did after that was to install fspassengers and 4 times in a row now it crashed for no apparent reason. No low VAS and all settings is the same as before I installed fspassengers and before that I didn't have any problems. Kind regards Mattias RE: P3D Closes to desktop with FsP. A struggling story... - tonaz - 23-03-2017 Now, excuse me please, i really mean no rude, but i think the question is legitimate: have you ever tested a 13 hours haul you devs there at fsp? Just a question. RE: P3D Closes to desktop with FsP. A struggling story... - PAINMAN - 25-03-2017 Is there anyone with some further information or solutions? Kind regards RE: P3D Closes to desktop with FsP. A struggling story... - Joeflyer - 28-03-2017 I see that Dan responded recently. I hope he has further information for you soon. |
