Mini Panel didnt work anymore - chiccoole - 09-01-2017
Hi all,
for several month everything was working fine with fspassengers. But since yesterday when i start fspassengers and want to show the mini panel there comes a message that there is no window available to show the mini panel.
The message comes on every aircraft. I dont have new aircrafts. The mini panel worked fine always with any aircraft and i didnt make chances.
As the recomendacion was to deactive panel putting // before the line i follow this but nothing happened. It cames the same error all the time...
Can anyone help me please. I dont understand whats going on.

Did you happen to add Fs2 Crew for any aircraft recently? If not, have you accessed the mini panel while in windowed mode?

I dont use FS2 Crew and flying in window mode and uses the mini panel in window mode. The mini panel worked fine for years and from one momento to the other didnt work more.

Ok, you fly in windowed mode only, but did you happen to update the graphics card driver? If you have changed absolutely nothing on your system and this window message appears, I would have no idea on why this would happen all of a sudden. Have you tried using FsP without the mini panel? Personally speaking, I used the mini panel years ago but quit using it. I either use hot keys on the fly or access the FsP menu in order to keep the screen uncluttered with other small windows. Certainly I know many others enjoy the mini panel and prefer using it, but sometimes multiple open windows can cause graphics issues and errors.

I have the latest videocard drivers and FSP works fine without the mini panel. The problem is i want to have the information given there.

Definitely understand your concern. Well, you could try backing up your database, uninstall FsP, reboot pc and then re-install FsP. Copy the saved database back to the main FsP folder and see if that may work for you. Since what you described is the number of windows issue, this may not be a solution. I failed to ask if this is FSX or P3D you are dealing with. I was quite sure the program would help you with regard to the max window issue in Dan's latest updates for FSX and P3D.

Hello,
I have this same issue after installing the new PMDG 747-400 into FSX. This is the only aircraft that has this issue. I fly in windowed mode as well. I put several pop up windows on a second monitor.
I have tried reinstalling FspassnegersX with the latest update(20160123.exe) but no luck. Any thing else i could try? I updated my video card drivers as well.

John, some others have had issues similar to this that includes blurred text in the mini panel and FMC. Have you tried a different graphics card driver? This has solved it for some users.

Thank you for your reply, I am not sure what you mean by different drivers for my GPU. After this issue began, I updated to the current Nvida drivers.

That means rolling back to an earlier graphics card driver. Sometimes getting the latest driver may not work as advertised. But, are you able to see the mini panel at all?

I get an message box stating something about more than 64 windows in the panel.cfg file after i set up a FsPassngers flight. there are less than twenty windows listed in the panel.cfg file. I do not see the mini panel. The message also appears when i try to open the mini panel from the FsPassngers menu.
I will see about rolling back my drivers.

Ahh, before you roll back, this is really about the max number of windows allowed. You have reached that limit and the limit is really more than half that amount(I could be wrong though!). Are you using FS2 Crew per chance?

I had the same issue and I did what the prompt suggested, adding two slashes in front of an entry I did not feel was necessary.
Here's what it looks like:

window12=Zoomed Right Outboard DU
window13=ISFD
window14=Minipanel
window15=Light Sensor
I chose 'window00=Main Panel' because it does not do anything anyways.
