screen capturing possible? (P3D) - RamonaTigier - 23-12-2016

hi,
hopefully this isn't posted before, but I can't find with search.

My "issue":
I cant screenshot/capture FSP windows. I only get black screens.

Any idea how to capture?

Edit:
As I play in borderless window, some windows of FSP are displayed outside of simulation window.

Many thanks.

You can use OBS with screen capture as you are playing in borderless window mode. OBS is avalible to download from here, i recommend gettin OBS Classic as it runs better and is easier to set up than OBS Studio (i have streamed with both before and classic has no stuttering or freezing where studio does)

dear SamTDS,

thanks for the answer.
I forgot to post that I use XSplit Broadcaster. Screencapture with fuel and the game itself is working, but not with FsP. :/ strange.
Borderless window.. hmm.. thought I'm using, but will give it another try.
Will come back after testing.

Many thanks.

By the way: The windows that are displayed outside the window is a "known issue"?

It is less of a "known issue" and more of a design aspect, it allows you to move it to other screens freely.

Hi SamTDS,

Ok, now having a solution for my issue: using FFSplit as (video-)input source for XSplit is a kind of workaround - dunno why XSplit won't take it.

About the "known issue", I'm not able to move the FsP windows around.
Any idea why? - I think I should start another thread as my issue is solved.

Many thanks for ideas and helping!

Yeah not being able to move the window is a bug, on my install i can move it around fine
